SUMMARY
Introduction: rheumatic mitral valvular diseases are most frequent in developing countries, despite antibiotic era. Setting of therapeutic remains problematic for developing countries, where even closed heart surgery is absent.
Cases report: we report 2 cases of closed mitral commissurotomy, for rheumatic mitral stenosis. One of the patients had already beneficiated of percutaneous mitral dilation. One patient died after accidental left atrial roof wound.
Conclusion: closed mitral commissurotomy may be helpful, if precautiously praticed in developing countries, where open heart surgery is absent.
